Drummondville, April 10, 2018 – UL Mutual is enhancing its offering by adding more flexibility to its flagship  Adaptable product, lowering premiums an average 5% for 30-40 year olds, and including legal assistance services at no extra cost. In addition, the sum insured under the child rider has been doubled, to $20,000. These adjustments are part of a continuous improvement process designed to benefit insureds and their families.

Adaptable and Assistel legal assistance services

The Adaptable life insurance product, which already provides exceptional flexibility with eight premium payment periods to choose from and the option of adding paid-up  insurance up to seven years following purchase, is even more flexible with the 20 payments option, now available to all ages, starting from birth. A significant change to help better meet the needs of families, who will further benefit as the 30-40 age group will receive a sizeable premium reduction of approximately 5%. New policyholders will also have access, free of charge, to the legal assistance services of Assistel, providing confidential, personalized legal advice. Eight fields of law are covered, with services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Life insurance - Child rider

The  sum insured under the child rider is increasing from $10,000 to $20,000, with a $50 premium for each of the first two children and free of charge for the remaining siblings. This new feature, which will take effect on all newly issued policies, is in response to policyholders’ request for more comprehensive family protection better adapted to their reality.
